A few days ago I was so lucky and had the chance to discover two new snowkitespots with many rideup options in Switzerland on a single day.👀
I watched in the morning the forecast and decided spontaneously to give it a try at a sidevalley by San Bernadino. The forecast of wind was quite promising but all models said also there would coming clouds quite fast.
After 1h drive and 15min hiking I could launch my kite and ride quickly into the valley. The temperature was quite low, so I could kite up all the quite steep slopes of the mountains there. The Wind was very stable and just behind ridges a bit gusty because of SW wind. Really nice spots with plenty of options.
When i had kited to all tops and to the east end of the valley, it was around 12am and the weather was still sunny. So i had the option to enjoy this spot a bit more 😬 or trying to discover an other new spot, which is around 45min by car away😱
I choosed second option as the wind and weather were much better than forecast . And the chances to have good weather by southwind is super rare, so i had to give it a try.

it depends on the avalanche risk. On this day it was cold and the risk very low…

bottomwind on meteoblue and icon and wind on 3000hm@@SipkeHoltes1 you can normally just say a day before where to go and if it has a good chance or not

thx . i think wind is there often sadly gusty. Probably works better with NE on 3000m
Impressive route 😂, best scary moment snowkiting between rocks(not trees this time 😅) and skiing down with the kite at 12h 😵💫🤙 great adventure again. Perhaps the quality of the images was as usual? I put the advanced quality view on youtube but the I don't notice the improve

thx. I dont use very thick lines. Not 100% sure. Maybe 300/500

Hey 🤙 We are group of 5-7 snowkiters from Bulgaria. We really want to snowkite in Romania! Please can you advise how to do it 🙏
@@stefanyordanov5846Problem is always the weather :) check clouds and wind on windy and maybe webcams for how much snow the mountains have. There are a lot of options in romania. But everything depends on weather. If you book one place you could have 1 week no wind or bad weather. Thats always the risk
